Nearly a century on Lake Almanor
The Kokanee Lodge dates to the 1920s — once a five-acre lakeside resort with A-frame cabins, tent camping, a marina, and a restaurant. By the late 1990s, the lodge and A-frames had fallen into severe disrepair. A full renovation in 2000 honored the original character and elevated the A-frames atop newly built garages, blending classic A-frame charm with chalet-style design.
We purchased the lodge and chalets in the early 2000s. For the past ten years they ran as long-term rentals — and now we’re reopening them for short-term stays. Same chalets longtime Carson Chalets guests remember. Fresh paint, modern comfort, original A-frame footprint.
Family-run
We answer the phone. We’re the same family that rented these chalets the first time around.
